About

Everything about a bowling ball is a measurement. Almost nobody takes one.

Get Custom Bowling Balls supplies balls to order — logo house balls, reactive resin, urethane, polyester spares, full-wrap printed balls and youth lightweight balls.

Custom printed bowling balls with logo

A ball is sold by weight and colour, and neither of those is why it works or does not. The two numbers that decide it are span and pitch.

Span is the distance from the thumb hole to the finger holes, matched to one hand. Pitch is the angle the holes are drilled at. Get the pitch wrong and the ball hangs on the thumb through release — which is what almost every sore wrist and every ball that ‘feels too heavy’ actually is.

The other thing nobody tells you is that the surface is a consumable. The core lasts for years; the coverstock absorbs lane oil and loses reaction over a few hundred games, and resurfacing brings most of it back for a fraction of a new ball.

Why we exist

Bowling balls are bought on a weight number and a picture, from suppliers who never ask how the buyer bowls or whose hand it is for.

So centres re-rack every other season because the logo scuffed off a printed surface. Bowlers buy the strongest ball in a catalogue and watch it burn up on a dry house shot. Children get adult holes drilled smaller and learn to heave a ball from the shoulder. None of those are equipment failures; they are specification failures.

What actually decides a ball

Coverstock creates friction: polyester finds almost none and goes straight, urethane finds a controlled and repeatable amount, reactive resin finds the most and needs oil to work with. Core decides when the ball turns and how sharply.

Surface grit decides how early it all happens, and it is the number that explains why two identical-looking balls behave differently on the same lane. We state it on every ball, which very few suppliers do.

What we actually make

Logo house balls with the mark carried under the coverstock rather than printed on top, supplied across a genuinely full weight range. Reactive resin with cover, core and grit all stated. Urethane for dry and short patterns. Polyester spare balls drilled to match the bowler’s strike ball. Full-wrap printed balls with the artwork through the surface, redrawn for a sphere. And youth balls sized to the swing rather than to a chart.

Drilled orders are cut to measured span and pitch, one ball at a time.

How we price

No dollar figures on this site. Price moves with coverstock, core, finish, drilling and quantity, and it falls steeply at rack quantities. Send the details and a real quote comes back the same day, with a lowest-price guarantee if you are already holding a cheaper one.

What we will talk you out of

The strongest ball in the range, if your house shot is dry. A heavier ball for a child than the swing can carry. A new ball where a resurface will do.

None of that costs us much and all of it is the reason people come back.
